About Us

All Sentient Beings, Inc. is a small, foster home based 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization with a focus on cats and rabbits. Our organization began in New York in 2008 and has since moved to Massachusetts where we've continued to grow our network of supporters and foster homes. Located in Lynn, MA, we are the sole animal rescue in this large, culturally diverse, predominantly urban city area. 

Our specialties include rescuing stray cat and rabbits, finding placement for homeless, re-homed, and surrendered pets, caring for disabled kitties and bunnies, and rehabilitating under-socialized street cats. We're the caretakers of several TNR'ed feral cat colonies in MA and NY, and are a resource for local TNR trapping efforts. We also offer low cost microchip clinics and microchip scanning for lost cats and dogs found in the North Shore area of MA to reunite them with their owners.

Temperament, energy levels, personality quirks, life style requirements, past histories - we take it all into consideration! Our goal is to set the animals in our care for up with forever families whom we feel comfortable with passing the honor of their stewardship to. We aim for our adoptions to stick! Our methods work and we're proud to have maintained a low rate of returned adoptees over the years.  

We strive to ensure every cat and rabbit goes to their new homes physically healthy and emotionally well adjusted! Every one of our animals receives a veterinary package that includes a spay/neuter surgery, two rounds of distemper vaccines, a rabies vaccine (if old enough), deworming treatments, mite/flea/tick treatments, FeLV and FIV testing, heart worm testing, and are microchipped. All of this is covered by our adoption fees.

Teamwork makes the dream work! ASB is a little operation with a lot of heart. We might be small but we manage to accomplish big things because we're comprised of dedicated individuals who work together to turn shared convictions into action. 

Our amazing team of regular and part-time volunteers are the heart and soul of our operation. These roles include: foster homes, socializers, trappers, transporters, colony feeders, donation collectors, presentation assistants, event organizers, and more! 

Every year our core group of helpers grows and so has our need for increased volunteering. If you like what we're about and want to aid our efforts, we'd love to have you join us!
